The course looks at different methods of working with clay including throwing on the wheel Raku firing coil pottery slab pottery digging and firing local clay slip decorating glaze decorating and the use of coloured inlays. By the end of the course you should be able to: ? Produce a range of pottery using different techniques. ? Use different glaze and slip combinations to produce decoration. ? Be able to fire a raku kiln. ? Be able to recognise and collect local raw materials for producing pottery.
