The Media Diploma will enable you to develop creativity and confidence as well as the ability to think, question, explore and communicate effectively. You will learn about the creative and media industries, explore your own creativity, develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving and communication, and learn practical skills, which enable you to apply your ideas in different ways. You will study and learn in a variety of ways, including individual, small group and whole class productions, internet-based research and interaction with creative and media professionals. You will attend masterclasses given by external practitioners and former students now working in the creative industries. You will also attend media related trips and visits to see practitioners at work. This is a 120-credit course equivalent to two A levels. You can also choose to study Level 3 Media as a 60-credit course which is the equivalent of one A level or a 180-credit course equivalent to 3 A levels. All assessment is by coursework.
