With a focus on Computer Games development, the core knowledge and skills developed in this course will equip students with highly valued skills which are also transferable to other creative sectors, such as CGI in film and TV. Much of this exciting course will centre on the use of the professional level 3D software Lightwave 3D used in Games, TV and Film productions, such as Unreal Tournament, Titanic, 300, Avatar, and the game engine Unity 3D, both programmes being widely used industrial high end applications. Development of comprehensive knowledge of and skills in Digital Graphics, alongside the 3D skills, will allow students to create 3D models, 3D game environments, rendered 3D animations, and concept art for magazine adverts, packaging and in-game graphics, with students producing designs, game content and artwork of their own.
