General Studies allows students to gain a greater perspective and a clearer understanding of the world they live in. General Studies is an excellent complement to all other A level examinations, producing a more rounded, balanced world view on the part of students. It allows students to connect ideas and information from different disciplines and should lead to a greater awareness of human knowledge, understanding and behaviour. Students will be encouraged to debate, enquire and test assumptions. Three key areas of the contemporary world - culture, science and society - are integrated into four units.
