Construction Multi-skills: In year 1 students follow the City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Construction, developing knowledge of the different trades within the construction industry and developing their skills. Upon successful completion of this course, students can progress to follow a more specialised course of study in bricklaying, plumbing, carpentry or electrical engineering for their second year of study. Bricklaying: Those students who know they wish to follow a career in Bricklaying can begin with the City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying. This one year course allows candidate to learn, develop and practise the skill they will need. Students who successfully complete this course can progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying for their second year of study. All students will continue to study Mathematics and English at GCSE level. Practical elements of this course are taught off-site.
