To be a horticulture apprentice you have to be of a minimum age of 16, subject to funding and statutory variations. You must be committed and have a keen interest in horticulture. You will need to prove that you have the determination and motivation to succeed. The Advanced Level Apprenticeship is suitable for the following job roles Horticultural Technician, Deputy Head Greenkeeper or Groundsman, Garden Designer or Senior Designer, Parks Officer. The Advanced Level Apprenticeship covers a full range of Horticultural areas including Parks, Gardens and Greenspace, Sports Turf, Production Horticulture.
