This course is designed for those directly working within a health or health & social care environment. The course runs as a roll on roll off programme allowing individuals to access at any point throughout the year. It is a work based programme of study which gives you the opportunity to obtain a City & Guilds qualification by demonstrating your competence. Level 2 is predominantly for healthcare assistants and support Workers while Level 3 is more suitable for those in a senior role. The apprenticeship consists of the following qualifications (depending upon framework): A competence qualification in your discipline and, if applicable, a knowledge qualification in your discipline. There are a range of different pathways: Clinical Healthcare Support, Healthcare Support Services, Maternity & Paediatric, Allied Health (Physio & OT), Perioperative, Functional skills in English and Maths, Employment Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning Skills in Health. On successful completion you could progress onto higher levels of qualifications within your chosen discipline or onto a Team Leading or Management qualification.
