Developing Workskills - Entry Level, Level 1

The course has been designed to introduce learners into the world of work. The programme is structured to give individuals the opportunity to develop skills required for employment. Learners will be given the opportunity of researching, preparing and participating in work experience within the local community. Valuable life skills are embedded into the programme to ensure independent skills are enhanced. All learners are also given the opportunity to participate in an enterprise programme and sit a functional skill exam suited to their ability.

Name: Developing Workskills - Entry Level, Level 1 Qualification title: Diploma in Employability and Personal Development (Entry 3) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Assessment is ongoing and consistent throughout the academic year, this is evident via an initial screening process and then regularly via the Personal Development Plan. Learners are assessed on an individual basis by the tutor and through the verification of completed portfolio units. The online PDP system allows for the learner to log in and view their progress and targets so they are always aware of their achievement to date. Three annual reviews and regular staff meetings ensure that the assessment and review process continues to map individual progression.
