Combining practical work with examination, this course allows students to gain a broad understanding of the travel and tourism industry whilst developing transferable skills useful for most careers or degrees. For some students, a 10-week paid work placement at a hotel in Tossa del Mar, near Barcelona, will be available at the end of the second year. •Finding out about the places tourists go to and how the travel and tourism industry operates, including customer service and marketing •The opportunity to take part in field visits to destinations such as Blackpool, York, Barcelona, Chamonix and New York.
