The objectives of the course are To provide candidates with skills, knowledge and understanding of scientific principles and enable them to apply these to various situations and vocational contexts. To enable candidates to appreciate and evaluate the social, economic and environmental impact that scientific work has on society. To prepare candidates for further study on a course in science or in a science-related subject or for training in a science-related occupation. To develop candidates skills in carrying out practical techniques and following procedures used in vocational contexts Scientific research, development and production bring major benefits to improving health care, raising the standard of living and contributing to almost every aspect of daily life.
