Areas studied include: movement, mime, devising theatre, improvisation, directing and vocal skills. The course covers a minimum of 5 units, which all relate to performing arts and acting. Working as a theatre company your group will rehearse, perform and organise these productions. Throughout the two years of the course you will take responsibility for costume, makeup, props and marketing, advised and supported by our friendly staff. BTEC Level 3 Certificate (AS equivalent) In Year 12 you will study 3 units which all carry equal weighting of 10 credits. These will include Unit 19, Principles of Acting. BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma (A2 equivalent) In Year 13 you will study a further 2/3 units. These will include Unit 7, Performing to an Audience. At times you will be expected to rehearse outside college hours for performances. You will need to do research and written assignments - these vary from week to week depending on shows and deadlines.
