AS/A2 level Business Studies examines the challenges faced by business in the UK today. It develops knowledge and understanding of the concepts underpinning modern business thinking. It also promotes analytical thinking, problem solving and logical decision making. AS Level At AS Level, candidates will be introduced to the challenges and issues of starting a business, including financial planning Unit 1: Starting a business Financial planning 40% of AS, 20% of A Level Unit 2: Operations management Finance Marketing & competition 60% of AS, 30% of A Level A2 Level At A2, candidates consider strategies for larger business and how these strategies may change according to the circumstances.
