This Diploma will allow candidates to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a national occupation level required by employers, thus proving competence in their job role. This Diploma is appropriate for sale advisors, customer service advisors, product experts or similar roles. The level 2 Diploma in Retail Skills is based on the National Occupational Standards for Retail. It is a job ready qualification which required learners to demonstrate in the workplace the skills and knowledge required in the retail industry. This qualification attest to occupational competence in assisting technical staff in the workplace and the job readiness of the learner. If undertaken as an NVQ only (such as through Train to Gain) then the approximate duration is 8 months. If undertaken as part of an apprenticeship the approximate duration is 10 months.
