This course is ideal for all students who have an interest in theatre, be that as an actor/performer or designer/director. There will be many opportunities to be involved in group work, devising original drama and performing extracts from classic and contemporary texts. Many students study Drama and theatre studies with Dance, Music, English, Psychology and History. However, studying Drama with Science subjects and Mathematics give the student more versatility in their options and is often an advantage. It is an excellent subject to improve confidence, which can be useful for interviews and presentations. Drama and Theatre Studies A level is for those students wishing to go into theatre for a career or if you wish to take Drama into further studies at A level alongside English as a complimentary subject. It is a very good qualification to obtain when considering teaching in any subject due to the communication and public speaking skills.
