Courses in Real Skills for Work combine different subjects with work-related qualifications and work experience placements, to help you work more confidently with others. You can study Real Skills for Work in a variety of subjects such as Construction, Motor Vehicle, Care, Art and Design, Catering, Retail, Sports, Business Administration, Hair and Beauty, Travel and Tourism, Music, Motor Sports Karting, Small Animal Care and Horticulture. You will be allocated a Personal Tutor to help support you throughout the course and you will develop social and communication skills along with your knowledge of English, Maths, and IT. This course is a combination of both practical and theory. You will learn and be assessed by completing either practical or scenario based activities and by writing assignments. Assessments could include: Functional Skills exams, Production of a Portfolio (written, videoed, audio recorded), Case Studies, and Role Play.
