BTEC Certificate in Art & Design. This practical course is aimed at broadening and expanding your specialist artistic skills to a very high standard in areas such as drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and textiles. In year 1 there is a strong emphasis on exploring a wide range of techniques, with drawing being integral to every project. In year 2 you will continue to extend your specialist skills and in term 3 you will select a specialist pathway, work more independently and develop ideas of a more personal nature, culminating in a final exhibition.
