Studying AS and A-Level Economics will enable you to attain a greater understanding of the modern world in which we live, and will provide you with an insight in to the decisions that are made in business and government. This course provides students with an opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and pursue an interesting yet academically proven subject. Economics is split into two main sections, microeconomics and macroeconomics. Macro looks at the big issues affecting the economy as a whole such as unemployment, inflation, growth, whereas micro looks at the market behaviour of individual customers and firms.
