This course is for students who wish to gain employment in the construction industry. This course is suitable for experienced learners who would like a career in the construction industry or who are progressing from Bricklaying Diploma Level 2. You will study the following: Carry Out Safe Working Practice Information, Quantities and Communication with Others Building Methods and Construction Technology Carry Out Structural and Decorative Brickwork Repair and Maintain Masonry Structures Erect Complex Masonry Structures Analysing the construction industry and Built Environment All LMC students will receive tutorial support. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study functional English and maths qualifications or GCSE maths and English if not already awarded an A*-C in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into further or higher education, training or employment.
