The GCE Business Studies A level examines all manner of businesses, from the very small to the multinational. In year one, we explore the origins of business. How they are formed, how they are developed and how they are funded. We examine what makes a good business idea and how to identify gaps in the market. Year one is a nice introduction before moving onto the global context of year 13. Here we look at global niche markets, global conglomerates and the big economic powers of China, India and the US. This should wet the appetite nicely, particularly if you're thinking of going on to study business or similar degrees at university.
