In your first year you will study units entitled Global Tectonics and Rocks – Processes and Products, whereas the second year introduces Evolution of Life, Earth and Climate along with Environmental Geology. Classroom learning is augmented by local field courses and there will also be an opportunity to take part in an overseas field trip. Recent locations have included Iceland, Naples and Tenerife, all providing a wide range of easily interpreted igneous rocks and landforms that is difficult to find in the UK.
