Through undertaking the Business course, students will develop a critical understanding of organisations and the markets they serve. Within the organisation they will be able to analyse and evaluate the key functional areas of finance, marketing, human resources and operations/production. As well as considering internal factors, students will learn about the external factors and the environment in which businesses work. The course is designed to investigate key contemporary developments such as digital technology, business ethics and globalisation. It should enable students to recognise problems faced by themselves and others and to offer informed comment on issues facing business today.
