Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) is a new qualification designed for students who have achieved a grade C or above at GCSE. It helps to develop mathematical skills and thinking and supports courses such as A level Psychology, Sciences and Geography as well as technical and vocational qualifications. It would also suit students who enjoy maths or find a real value in it and wish to continue their studies in mathematics without taking the full mainstream A level course.
