This waterclour course in Sevenoaks explores the medium of Watercolour looking at techniques, processes and methods that can be used when creating very individualised artwork. Drawing skills will be emphasised with a contemporary and historical element to the project work. This Art course is for the more experienced student to work on self directed projects to develop their skills with demonstrations of techniques and methods by the tutor., , By the end of the course you should be able to :-, Paint two simple landscapes that revise basic watercolour techniques, • Use a sketch book to plan and compose a series of paintings, • Produce a small series of watercolour texture samples, Experiment with resist techniques in a seasonal still life painting, Students who have completed the Beginners watercolour Art course or have some experience.It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity for you to participate fully and get the most out of the course.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices.If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
