Mathematics is a highly desirable qualification for both employers and universities. A London School of Economics study showed that Mathematics was the only A Level that adds to average earnings. AS Level (Year 1) Module 1: Introduction to Advanced Mathematics. Module 2: Concepts for Advanced Mathematics. Module 3: Statistics. A2 Level (Year 2) Module 4:Methods for Advanced Mathematics. Module 5: Applications for Advanced Mathematics. Module 6:Mechanics. Assessed by coursework and exam. Progression on to higher education. A Level Mathematics is an academic and challenging subject and is accepted for most degree courses. Employment in areas such as accounting, research and engineering with the possibility of undertaking further training.
