A-level Further Mathematics extends the ideas introduced at GCSE and AS Maths and it provides students with a thorough grounding in the mathematical tools and techniques often needed with mathematical based degrees. Studying maths at this level make is widely respected and a prerequisite for some university degrees. It is desirable for students wishing to study maths, physics and engineering. Further Maths is studied alongside A-level maths.
