Year 12 BTEC Level 3 Certificate The 30 credit course offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the appropriate vocational sector. The qualification which can extend a student's programme of study and give vocational emphasis and is broadly equivalent to one AS Level. The qualification consists of three mandatory units plus optional units. Year 13: BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma The 60 credit course extends the specialist work related focus of the Certificate and covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the appropriate vocational sector. It offers greater flexibility and a choice of emphasis through the optional units. It is equivalent to one A Level and students will study 3 further units.
