BTEC Level 2: First Award in Health and Social Care

Health and Social Care employs a third of the working population and is forecast to grow in the future as the number of older people in the population increases. There are a variety of jobs in this sector in education, health and social care and the career opportunities are vast. Beauchamp offers a course for enthusiastic students who have a high level of interest and enthusiasm for Health, Social and Educational sectors. Ideally students who take this course will have an interest in what happens in schools, hospitals and care homes and deciding whether people have been cared for properly and who are keen to try new things out. This course supports students in developing both literacy and ICT skills in a practical way such as writing letters and designing webpages. During the course students will be able to build on their team working skills and communication skills, which will be useful when entering the world of work.
