This exciting new course is the equivalent of four GCSEs grades A* - C. It is a practical, work - related course that will introduce you to the health and social care area, and give you a good basis for moving on to a more advanced work - related qualification. You will study six units - three core units that everyone takes and three more specialist units, which look at a particular area in more depth. Throughout the course, you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You may also work towards additional qualifications such as first aid or deaf awareness. After the course you could seek care related work or go on to a higher level qualification at the College.
