The focus of this course is on participation and performance in physical activity as part of a balanced, active and healthy lifestyle. This course aims to increase your physical competence, develop your involvement and effectiveness in physical activity and become a more informed decision-maker in relation to your own and others involvement in physical activity. You need to have a keen interest in all aspects of sport and also current involvement in competitive sport on a regular basis. Physical and mental fitness levels are assessed in unit 2 so it is essential for you to maintain high levels of fitness throughout the course.
