Geography

UPDATED 20150929 20:32:41

Students will find that geography A Level will build on prior learning from science and geography GCSEs. However students are not at a disadvantage if they have not taken GCSE geography. Students study core geographical concepts about rivers, floods and management and population change considering issues such as management and sustainability. Students will also study in depth the coastal environments and World Health issues. Students must explore these themes through fieldwork, research and the analysis and evaluation of a variety of sources. An interest in current geographical issues is essential. Please note that students will be expected to take part in weekend fieldwork activities, the cost is not covered by the school.
