If you enjoyed both English Language and Literature at GCSE then you don't have to choose between them at OSFC. In this combined literary and linguistic approach you will explore all aspects of English; from non-fiction and non-literary writings to renowned plays and classic novels. You'll enjoy exploring the interplay between linguistic and literary methods and deepening your understanding of both language and literature. You will explore a variety of text types, from genres of poetry, prose and drama, and non-literary ones like autobiography and travel writing. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills as a writer through a variety of creative and analytical tasks.
