Our 1 year GCSE is great fun and the best thing about it is that there's no more Shakespeare and no more Poetry! During the year we study some interesting non-fiction texts and we develop your skills to write for different purposes and audiences. The Speaking and Listening assessments encourage you to take part in lively discussions and role plays but the most fascinating element of the course is the study of spoken language. We will record and analyse lots of people speaking in different situations and we will study the things that influence how we talk the way we do.
