Further Mathematics AS & A2: We are also now offering a second level of qualifications for our most talented mathematicians who are considering taking mathematics at university or pursuing careers such as accountancy, medicine, dentistry or engineering: Maths and Double Maths (Further Maths). All units will be examined at the end of each year. There is no controlled assessment. Homework is set regularly and there is also an expectation that students will undertake further private study and seek help if problems arise. The skills that studying Mathematics & Further Mathematics gives you, such as problem solving and lateral thinking, are valued by all employers. Five years after graduating Mathematics graduates earn more than any other graduates (apart from doctors) and they are more successful in accountancy exams than Accountancy graduates.
