We are offering an innovative and exciting Interactive Digital Design course that will allow you to explore a range of new technologies and practices in design that are relevant to the pace of technological change. The Interactive Digital Design course introduces students to the design and study of computer games, mobile devices and technologies including mobile app design, web and graphic design, 3D animation, environments and motions graphics. The interactive media course introduces students to the design and study of computer games, mobile devices and technologies including mobile app design, web and graphic design, 3D animation and environments, online and mobile publishing and motion graphics and idents. Alongside the strong practical and skills based curriculum, students will also study the impact of technology, digital media companies and the rise of social media. Interactive media students will have the use of their own dedicated Mac design studio, complete with a range of software and hardware including Adobe CC Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and InDesign; 3D studio max and Maya. Students will be given opportunities to exhibit their work throughout the course and at the end of year showcase. The interactive media course includes work experience opportunities, where students will organise and partake in worthwhile work placements within the interactive media industries. Students who complete the course will be able to work directly in the design industries or continue at HE level. Students can go on to study a range of degree choices from interactive media, graphic design, motion graphics, games design and 3D animation.
