The BTEC Diploma in Business is a 12 Unit course equivalent to 2 A Levels. This qualification equips you with an understanding of the essential knowledge and skills needed to help you embark on a wide variety of business careers. The course is designed to be adaptable to your needs, interests and career aspirations: it consists of four compulsory core units which give learners an introduction to the business environment, management of resources, marketing and communication — all fundamental to the success of business organisations. You will study eight optional units which provide further opportunities for you to develop an understanding of business skills. In addition you will gain expertise in managing events, setting up a business, product promotion, internet business and human resources. The course provides a vocational alternative to the traditional A Level Business Studies. We recommend that you choose this option if you are significantly better at coursework than examinations.
