This is a challenging and rigorous course which develops analytical and problem-solving skills through learning and applying mathematical techniques and methods. The course will be of interest to those who enjoy the satisfaction of solving problems. The Pure (or core) Mathematics course includes work involving aspects of algebra, co-ordinate geometry,trigonometry, calculus, numerical methods andvectors. The applied units take those skills and apply them in the areas of Statistics and Mechanics.
