GCE A LEVEL in Photography

The AS/A2 Level photography course is an endorsed Art and Design specialisation. You will be encouraged to use formal elements and creative skills in your artwork therefore giving visual form to individual thoughts, feelings and ideas. Your camera will be the equivalent to a paintbrush! This is a very challenging course, for the AS you will need to learn new technical skills as well as using artistic creativity. You will study; -Usinga 35mmSingle Lens Reflex Camera. -Studio lighting techniques. -Black and white developing and printing. -Digital photography and photomanipulation. -Artist Research and Critical analysis. In A2 you will continue to develop these skills to a higher level, you will also learn more advanced techniques of taking photographs and printing. You will be assessed through your completed workbook or journal and series of final pieces using the AQA Assessment Objectives. The course structure is as follows.
