Music Technology and Performance (Level 2)

Introduction to the Music Industry: You'll learn all about the music industry, including the wide variety of job roles available. You'll begin to develop solo and group rehearsal and performance practices, as well as learning to operate sequencing software to create your own music. You'll also develop researching and writing skills in order to write an article on a chosen subject. Group Performance: You'll work in bands to rehearse and prepare for live performances. In groups, you'll develop communication and management skills in order to develop a set list. You'll explore music theory, as well as take part in recording sessions. Composition: Using the techniques built up through the year, you'll produce your own compositions and private portfolio to showcase and communicate your achievements to invited guests. You'll develop an interest in a particular genre and your tutor will talk to you about your next step and the right Level 3 Music course for you.

Functional English and Maths are supported while on the Level 2 music technology course.
