The BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Uniformed Public Services prepares for entry to, and career progression in, a range of services including the Armed Forces, Police and Emergency and Rescue Services. Students will study at least 6 modules during the course including politics, leadership, psychology, citizenship, physical training and outdoor activities. The theoretical units provide background knowledge. During the course students will be required to participate in visits to workplaces, residentials and expedition training which involve overnight stays. Can be part of two year Public Services Courses offered (BTEC Diploma and Extended Diploma). An AS will need to be taken alongside in the first year.
