This course aims to enable students to communicate with deaf people about familiar day to day topics and activities. It is for students with little or no knowledge of British Sign Language and aims to cover understanding and use a limited range of simple words and sentences in BSL. We will take part in simple, predictable conversations and give and follow simple directions or instructions in BSL. By the end of the course you will be able to give and follow familiar statements or descriptions and be able to communicate using BSL at a basic level. Please bring a pen and paper.
