The Access to Social Sciences Social Work Diploma is a one year intensive course for mature learners (19+) it is designed to prepare you for study on a teaching related degree programme... A high level of self motivation is required if you are to complete the course. The Access course should encourage you to gain confidence in your abilities in a new learning situation. The Diploma consists of mandatory and optional units which have a credit value. To achieve the Diploma you will need to gain 60 credits in total. The units cover a wide range of topics and are designed to help learners build the knowledge and skills needed when working in the health sector. The Access to HE Diploma is a Level 3 course. The units are designed to improve your analytical skills to hone your research skills and to develop your organisational skills.
