The course covers a wide range of topics, from personal and social development, through to travel, the environment and culture. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, as well as grammar and vocabulary, are developed at all levels. Every student has the opportunity to achieve a range of language and skills qualifications. International students may also choose to take the Cambridge PET, FCE and CAE exams. There are opportunities for students to take IELTS. We have a well established enrichment programme including sports activities with our designated sports-maker and excursions to the surrounding countryside and historical towns and cities.

Name: (Level E1) ESOL Qualification title: Award in ESOL Skills for Life (Speaking and Listening) (Entry 1) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The course is assessed by examinations in - Listening and Speaking - Reading - Writing Examination sessions take place in February and June. Your tutor will decide which exams it will be best for you to take in which session. You will need to pass all three exams to gain your full qualification. Entry requirements

Resident ESOL learners You will need to pay for your course book £25, and any trips your class undertakes during the year. Trips are optional, and the cost will normally be less than £50 in total for the year. If you pay tuition fees (£1400), you will also need to pay for your examinations (allow up to £65).
