The course follows the Edexcel GCSE in Mathematics A (1MAO) syllabus and offers you the opportunity to gain sound techniques in mathematics. The content is arranged into three broad areas: Number and Algebra, Geometry and Measures, and Statistics and Probability. This specification helps you to apply these fundamental skills in a variety of contexts that you can relate to and to solve statistical problems or explore more abstract Mathematical scenarios. The course will cover both the Foundation tier of GCSE Mathematics, leading to a grade from G to C, and the Higher tier, graded from D to A*. It is very important to discuss which tier you wish to follow with your tutor before beginning the course.
