A follow-on course to 'Life Lines - your personal history through creative writing'. You will further develop your writing techniques and cover a range of writing styles to encourage both your skills and confidence. You will take part in a variety of fun activities, working by yourself and with others. If you feel comfortable, you may share your writing with classmates and join in group discussions. Activities will include using pictures and sensory stimulation to inspire ideas; analysing short written extracts to compare writing styles and techniques; discussing the various roles and identities we all adopt at times; participating in group and pair tasks; all activities are designed to encourage creativity as well as helping to develop writing skills. At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to include a short piece of writing in a class 'book' to be created for the benefit of the group and go on to develop these ideas into longer pieces of writing. yes N/A
