Basic Sewing Course

UPDATED 20150824 15:48:16

Learn how to sew and how to use a sewing machine. You will be able to create some basic objects which may include a mobile phone cover and cushion cover (for example). As well as gaining a skill and making items for you and your home, you will also gain a certificate of achievement. All materials will be provided. You might be asked to look for everyday items to bring in such as spare buttons or unwanted fabric. You and your tutor will set some targets for you to aim for. Your tutor will assess these with you as the course progresses. You could move on to further sewing courses at one of the local colleges, textile course, dressmaking course or costume making course.
