Plumbing and Heating - Apprenticeship

UPDATED 20150603 14:14:33

We must stress the importance of you gaining your own employment as without an Employer it will not be possible for you to commence your College training. Apprenticeships are a popular choice for young people aged 16 - 24* looking for on-the-job training and the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst earning a wage. Most of your training will be directly linked to the career you have chosen, gaining practical experience in the workplace, backed up by attendance at College one day a week. An Apprenticeship in Plumbing and Heating will give you valuable experience of a variety of trade related activities. You will be working on site where your duties could encompass many areas of plumbing and heating such as health and safety, communication, scientific principles, hot and cold water installations, central heating systems, site preparation and pipework fabrication. Apprenticeships are a great option for school leavers who want to gain a nationally recognised qualification. An Apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 GCSE's. * Please note priority is given to applicants under 19 years of age. Due to funding arrangements, places maybe limited for 19+
