Course code for reference LS6LROM1004 Aim of the Course An introduction to acrylic painting techniques: Choose and prepare your painting support; Apply a transfer technique; Apply the rule of thirds and consider your composition; Demonstrate 4 brush techniques; Mix colours; Demonstrate the use of tonal values to create light and dark About the Course Come and join me, Kirstin White, in a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere and to learn about the wonderful and forgiving painting medium of acrylics. Using demonstrations and a hands on approach you will be introduced to the basics of Acrylic Painting and the tools and materials required. You will leave the course with the confidence, knowledge and ability to produce your own paintings. A variety of painting supports will be provided, but you will be required to supply your own acrylic paint and brushes. Any acrylic paint will be suitable, ideally bring just three colours; Process Yellow, Process Cyan and Process Magenta plus a tube of White Acrylic Paint. These courses also have a social side, opportunities to meet people with similar interests. This Course could lead to: Other art workshops and courses.
