If you want a career in the motor body repair industry, these courses are for you. You will study: Level 1 Diploma in Accident Body Repair, Vehicle construction and design, Removing and replacing body panels, Remove and replace MET (Mechanical Electrical and Trim components), Valet - both the interior and exterior of the vehicle, Introduction to technology, workshop processes and welding, Level 2 Diploma in Accident repair Body Principles, Welding processes MIG, resistance / spot, brazing and plastic repairs, Repair techniques for damaged body panels, Heat shrinking, Modern construction and materials used in vehicle design. Coursework consists of theory and practical assessments of all the subjects. Please note: you will develop both body repair and refinishing skills, but can only qualify for one of the specialist areas: body repair or paint and refinishing. You are encouraged to attend a work placement to develop your skills and knowledge of the body repair industry.
