Our Business, Computing and Education courses are based at our Kettering and Wellingborough campuses. We have links with local organisations who commission our students with 'live' project work providing work-based learning and enriching their education. Our experienced lecturers will take you through each of the elements of your chosen course, providing practical examples to ensure that the theories learnt can be applied to the working environment. Success rates across our Higher Education programmes are high and many of our students progress onto a further one year of study to gain a full Honours degree. You will develop your computing knowledge and technical skills to enable you to analyse needs, design, construct and implement computer-based systems within a project team for a commercial, public sector or industrial environment. You will cover a range of topics including: - Computer communications and systems - Internet technology and programming - Software engineering - Problem-solving and programming - Operating systems - Modern networks and database technology - Systems design and development There is a strong emphasis on work related skills, proficiency in oral and written communication and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
