Many of our staff compete and train at the top level and produce horses for top level showing, eventing and dressage Past students have gone onto produce and show at the Horse of the Year Show as well as many other national shows Many past learners have gained their BHS A Many of our learners progress to higher education Multi-site facilities that enable students to gain a greater knowledge of riding different horses and working in different environments Industry standard facilities which include two indoor schools and an outdoor arena What will I study? You can choose to study either the Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma or Extended Diploma (you will discuss the best level for you at interview) Practical skills and theoretical knowledge The supervisory and management skills required in the equine industry Pathways include: Equitation including Teaching, Science and Husbandry or Stud Based Units Essential Skills for Progression in English and Maths to support your basic education and career development Units may include: Anatomy & Physiology Animal Feeding Animal Health Animal Nutrition Equestrian Teaching Horse Behaviour & Welfare Horse Rehabilitation & Therapy Horse Tack & Equipment Horses for Presentation Investigative Project Managing an Equine Event Preparation for Competition Principles of Animal Biology Principles of Equitation Principles of Horse Fitness Riding & Exercising Horses Riding Horses of the Flat & Over Fences Stable & Yard Management Work Related Experience Working Horse from the Ground
